At Vélozophie, we take your satisfaction to heart, which is why we offer you a free maintenance plan with the purchase of a new bikeThis plan includes basic adjustments to your derailleurs and brakes, minor wheel alignment and a basic cleaning of your bike. This maintenance plan includes one (1) free essential service.

  • This update is applicable from August 1 to February 15.

For a clean, well-maintained bike, this maintenance usually takes very little time and requires little cleaning or replacement of parts. On the other hand, if you allow rust or dirt to build up on your bike, it will increase friction between the cables and restrict the movement of the various parts, thus hindering its optimal operation. In this case, adjustments take longer.

Cycling is a mechanical sport, and its use varies from rider to rider. However, a bicycle must be serviced every year. Preventive maintenance spreads the cost, reduces the risk of mechanical problems and optimizes your bike’s performance. However, normal use, or more intense use, leads to wear on parts such as tires, brakes, bearings and other moving parts, and these are not covered by the warranty. Parts replacement or repair will incur charges for parts and labor.

Please note that system updates on electric-assist bicycles are not included in the free maintenance plan.

Moreover, our free maintenance plan with the purchase of a new bike offers free mechanical repairs for your bike for a period of 30 days from the date of purchase. We take great care to ensure that every bike that leaves our store is perfectly adjusted and ready for adventure. That said, it’s important that every customer is aware of the break-in period that occurs with the first few rides. No matter what your bike sells for, certain problems can arise. Therefore, in the case of a broken spoke, loss of compression on hydraulic disc brakes (noisy brakes are not covered by this protection), brake or gear misalignment, and/or any other necessary adjustments to the bike due to possible assembly or production problems, we will make the necessary corrections to get you back in the saddle, free of charge and as quickly as possible.

*We encourage the purchase and repair of bicycles during the winter months. Bikes purchased between December 1 and March 31, with the exception of fat bikes and bikes purchased for winter use, will benefit from a 30-day post-purchase coverage period until May 31.

*Accidental damage is not covered by our warranty. For example: if you fall during a ride and damage your derailleur, including the derailleur hanger, which in turn could damage spokes or other components if not immediately straightened, we’ll be happy to help you get back on the road, but you’ll be charged a repair fee.
